Community Theater Overview

The Jamestown Community Theatre (JCT) is a long-standing, Town-sponsored performing arts program operated by the Town of Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department. Established in 1990, JCT provides accessible, inclusive theatrical experiences for youth, adults, and families, emphasizing education, creativity, and community connection.

JCT operates as a public recreation program, offering structured opportunities for residents to participate in all aspects of live theatre, including acting, technical production, stage management, and backstage support. The program is designed to encourage intergenerational involvement, volunteerism, and lifelong engagement in the arts.

As a Town program, JCT functions under the authority and oversight of the Parks and Recreation Department and is covered by Town insurance, policies, and procedures.
